With Nicola Sergio, here composer and pianist, jazz is a genre specific dynamics without borders. Sergio explores how all types of music can be used in jazz. In its 'Cilea My Love' with emphasis on the classical side of the composer Cilea opera and music seem to go surprisingly well with jazz. On this CD 'Symbols' there is much emphasis on the multicultural aspects of music mixed with jazz, but classical music here is again an important influence.
