Born in Nablus in Palestine in 1966, Adel Salameh is a virtuoso of the oud coupled with a talented composer. Installed in Europe in 1990 and established in Lyon since 2000, he established himself as one of the most emblematic representatives of the Arabic lute, the instrument which is one of the oldest in the Middle East. No stranger to international venues including the Womad festival, it draws its inspiration from Arab culture, but there are also elements in his music Indian, Persian and Turkish. Whether to define his work, two words suffice: depth and inspiration. Just like in this beautiful album which contains songs that refer to all its home land, whether of the 'Children of Palestine' or 'Between the Rhone and Saone.
