Caroline is the meeting of four improvisers around the bass player Sarah Murcia's compositions. This jazz-woman discovered on Magic Malik side and which worked with Steve Coleman , is a former pupil of Jean François Jenny-Clark.
Its music is rather simple, a great place is left to each musician's expression. Centered on colors, tones, it is almost illustrative and not a music of soloists and sidemans. Caroline, it is a fifth person, an complete entity, an element born from the exchanges of the four group members. The compositions of this quartet are inspired at the same time from jazz and polyrythmy.
