This collaboration of poetry and music is focused on the basic progressive aspects of the blues in the deepest sense. 'Taking the Blues Back Home' means being progressive. The blues talks about and has respect for the struggles of the past and is definitely concerned with the present and the future. It talks about Black culture and reinvestigates the African experience as encountered all over the world.
